Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi

Welcomed by our driver upon your arrival at Hanoi airport. You will be transferred in a comfortable private (non-smoking) car from the airport to hotel in Hanoi.

The Huc Bridge
Day 2 Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc

In the morning, have a buffet breakfast & fresh coffee in the hotel.
Then transfer with our guide for about 2 hours though the northern rural area to the site of Vietnam’s ancient capital Hoa Lu built from 10th century. Not just any capital, you will learn the strategic reasons why it is chosen to be Vietnam’s first capital and subsequently took an important part in Vietnam history.
Have a Buffet lunch where you could sample various dishes of Vietnamese Cuisine in a local restaurant
A Sampan boat will ready for your visit to Tam Coc, where you will cruise through green rice fields and enjoy the spectacular limestone mountains on a serene and peaceful river that is reputed to be “Halong Bay on Land”. You then can choose to take a bike and explore the country road depending on the weather and your interests.

Day 3 Hanoi City - Night train to Sapa

In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his house on stilt, the botanical garden and the Presidential palace. Presidential palace is the most fussy and expensive construction at that time but Ho Chi Minh believed it was totally unsuitable for his poor and starving people and opt for a simple wooden house instead. Moreover, learn about Ho Chi Minh's life and revolutionary activities along the visit.
On the way out visit One Pillar Pagoda. Based on King Ly Thai Tong's dream, One Pillar Pagoda was built in 1049 and included a pillar in the middle of a lotus pond, and a temple of lotus-shape, that reflected literally the meaning “long lasting happiness and good luck”. (Note: Please be aware that the One Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi is closed for renovation work until January 2015).
Next, explore the Temple of Literature. Located 2km west of Hoan Kiem Lake, the complex is a famous historical and cultural relic consisting of the Temple of Literature and the first university in Vietnam. You will have chance to know more about education in Vietnam from 1000 years ago until recent history in this tranquil atmosphere.
After lunch in a local Restaurant with local Vietnamese traditional Cuisines, continue to visit the interesting Ethnology museum. Located in the west of Hanoi's centre, this museum offers informative and well-documented display about 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, include elaborate and colorful hill-tribe costumes, musical instruments, work tools, stilt houses, etc.
Around 15:30, discover Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword lake) and Ngoc Son temple that situated in the heart of Hanoi. Listen to a special legend story about Hoan Kiem lake and understand a part of Vietnamese worship towards Tran Hung Dao, the general who defeated the Mongols in the 13th century.
After that, take an one hour-cyclo tour around Hanoi Old quarter through its charming streets which are named after the guilds such as Hang Bac (Silver Street), Hang Gai (Silk Street), Hang Tre (Bamboo Street) etc…
Finish an unforgettable full day Hanoi Sightseeing, come back to hotel and prepare for your night train. At about 20.00, you will be picked up and transferred to Hanoi Train Station for an overnight train to Sapa.

One Pillar Pagoda
Day 4 Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van

Arrive Lao Cai Train Station around 6:00. Then take an one hour bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces that make Sapa famous with travelers.
Upon arrival in Sapa’s town, have breakfast and freshen up before your trekking of the day. 7km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong. And then 3km trekking down to Lao Chai Village, 4 km through terraced rice fields to Ta Van Village of the Dzay minority people.
Have lunch at a local family, where you can see the local house architecture and witness local daily life styles and exclusive customs.
Enjoy the landscapes on the way until getting back to Sapa by jeep or motorbike in the afternoon and free at leisure the rest of the day. Overnight at Sapa Hotel.

Day 5 Cat Cat & Sin Chai

Today, take a walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 3 km) to visit Cat Cat Village of the Black H’mong. Relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam.
Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then continue your trekking for the next 3 km to Sin Chai Village, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”, where you can enjoy a stunning landscapes of the mountain.
Then come back to the main road to be transferred to Sapa’s town on a jeep. Freshen up and check out for a bus to Lao Cai station at 18.00.
Overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 6 Hanoi Arrive - Halong Bay on cruise

Arrive in Hanoi at around 05:00 and get transferred from Hanoi Train Station to Hanoi Hotel for an early check-in. Freshen up, enjoy breakfast and relax until being picked up by the shuttle bus of your Halong Bay Cruise.
Then leave Hanoi for Halong Bay – World Natural Heritage site – via the Red River Delta with 3.5 hours drive. Upon arrival to Halong Bay, you will be welcomed on board for a junk cruise and set sail in the bay while lunch is served. Cruising further in the the magical bay, you can see thousands of sculpted limestone islands rising from the waves like dragons' teeth on the turquoise waters.
After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay, swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Late afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village with an opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations.
At sunset, kayak or simply take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnel with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board your junk, enjoy watching the peaceful sunset and later unwind at a restaurant with dinner served. Overnight on board.

Day 7 Halong Bay - Hanoi

Wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and bird welcoming the new day. You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay.
After breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto then walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of the majestic Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock.

Day 9 Hue City

In the morning, have a breakfast at the hotel and join the guide and the driver for today tour. Start by boarding a boat to cruise on Perfume River then visit the towering Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most famous Vietnamese landmarks as well as the most ancient pagoda in Hue. You will have the chance to understand about the underlying legends of the pagoda that also about the origin of this city while enjoying a scenic panorama overlooking the idyllic Perfume River and faraway mountains.
Take a short drive into a lush valley of the river where seven tombs were built for seven Nguyen emperors. Each is an expression of the unique personality of each king; comprised of three elements: the worshiping temple, the biographical recorded stele and the royal tomb. Then visit the finest one as the tomb of emperor Minh Mang.
Have lunch with classic Hue cuisine at a restaurant outside the city’s town.
Return to the center of Hue city to visit the massive Kinh Thanh Citadel. It is the most well known and iconic site in Hue built by King Gia Long since 1805. You will be able to see the sprawling complex comprised of the Imperial City itself, with museums, lakes, lovely gardens in a series of concentric circles.
Also visit the Forbidden Purple City, originally built in the early 1800s for the personal use of the emperor and once staffed by eunuchs who posed no threat to the royal concubines. Nearly destroyed in the Tet Offensive, the ruins today house the Royal Library and the grounds flourish with mimosa plants and vegetable gardens.

Hue – Da Nang - Hoi An

Today get transferred for about 3 hours from Hue to Hoi An Ancient Town - the principal port of the Cham Kingdom in the past and now an UNESCO World Heritage.
Along the way we will stop in the proximity of Da Nang for the “best coastal way” Hai Van pass, Marble Mountain with a handcraft village or Cham museum for a glimpse into Cham Kingdom once dominated across Indochina.
On arrival to Hoi An, have lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, start a walking tour around the cozy Hoi An ancient town with the Japanese - covered bridge, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, etc.

Day 11 Hoi An - My Son Holly Land

At around 8.00, get transferred from your hotel with our driver and tour guide for about 01 hour to My Son Holy Land – the best preserved Cham structure in Vietnam. At the site named the Holy Land, you will have the chance to understand about Cham Kingdom worshiping culture and see various architectures in a sensual style and finest details despite its ruined state.
Then leave My Son and get on boat cruising along Thu Bon River to visit Kim Bong wooden carving village where artisans contribute a great work in restoring the ancient architectures of Hoi An with their carving skills maintained for generations.
Continue cruising and arrive Hoi An river dock at about 13.30 and have lunch at local restaurant.

Day 13 Nha Trang Culture Tour Full Day

This excursion takes you to visit a selection from numerous attractions in Nha Trang City.
In the morning, get transferred to Cau Da and visit Vietnam Oceanographic Institute which is one of the first oceanographic research center in Vietnam. You will be able to see the whole collection of sea creatures and understand a part of marine ecology diversity in Nha Trang Bay.
Then continue to visit Long Son Pagoda, Catheral or Stone Church built in French colony time, Chong Promontory Rocks and the Po Nagar Temples.
Finishing the day with a visit to local Dam Market with a range of colorful goods, stalls and vendors that offer another aspect of local lives or various opportunity for photos. Then come back to Nha Trang hotel and free at leisure the rest of the day.

Day 15 Cu Chi Tunnel & HCM city

In the morning, have breakfast at the hotel and get transferred for about 45 minutes through the countryside to Cu Chi Tunnels, once a stronghold of Vietnamese during Vietnam War and a reminder of the country’s resilience.
Upon arrival watch a short video introducing about soldiers’ lives during wartime and take a look at the system of the underground tunnels, where supplies was transported, the injured was treated and people was living during some of the most strategic operation in the war.
Lunch will be serving at local restaurant.
Then proceed to discover the largest city in Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh city with its most prominent attractions such as Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Center Post Office and a lacquer factory before back to your hotel.
